Default GT take off muffler

Ok So I'm not one of those oh I got a big bad exhuast system and I want to stick out my chest kinda guys but I recently was informed that v6 ponys can use GT stock mufflers and that they're dirt cheap on ebay

I've watched the youtube vids and it does infact sound better than the v6 stocked with not too much noise to be obnoxious. I also heard that its less restrictive so it will give you HP/Torque/Fuel Economy boosts

is this true ? And is this a bolt on process only ? Cause I'm trying to totally avoid mods that require me paying $75.00 a hour labor

Yea they do sound very nice plus you cant beat them for the pricealthough the HP and fuel econ. gainsare minimal, that shouldnt stop you from picking these up ! I'm very happy with my single and very soon I'll be goin dual with them. With this you just swap out your old exhaust and throw this one on and you're done... Go for it, you wont be disappointed....

it's a really easy process to do, and yes, it is a direct bolt on for single, and if you go duals, it's STILL easy!

I got a pair for $25 on craig's list. VMP got 10hp out of it on a stock sixer. Here's the thread. I couldn't find any info on here or anywhere else on how to install it and i'm not mechianically inclined anyway. Just the tools I need alone cost more than having a shop put it on(which would only cost $20).

Got tools? It can be done in 20 minutes.
Be sure and get a M/T GT take-off and
not an Auto GT take-off.
GT M/T Muff FI-7849-R
auto is F1-7991-l
Paint it flatblack before install.

Yea the youtube clips dont do it justice, its much better in person. Install is a cinch, I've NEVER done anything like that in my life so being my first real upgrade to my car, (Aside from CAI) it was easier then I expected. an hour tops!
