upgrade rotors

RE: upgrade rotors
Depends on what route you're going. If you are buying a set of GT take-offs you'll only need the larger front rotors as the Gt rear rotors are the same. I know I've seen alot of kits that replace all the rotors and pads with drilled and/or slotted rotors but whether these are any better performance wise is still up in the air. Most agree that the only real way to improve braking performance is with a larger rotor and/or caliper. GT rotors are larger but used the same calipers as the six. Big brake kits are the best (Baer, Wilwood, etc. ) but they are expensive and usually require anywhere from an 18"- 20" wheel to fit. The cheapest route is a set of GT take-offs with performance pads in the front and ignore the rear brakes for now.

Get the GT caliper brackets first.
You need 2 caliper brackets part #6R3Z-2B134-B,the same left and right.
This also requires having 17" or 18" rims for proper clearance.
Then any get ahold of some OEM 05-08 GT take-off rotors or aftermarket 05-08 GT rotors.
Work over the rears next. Most stopping power is from the front brakes.
