I like my new 08 Mustang but the only complaint I have is that the instrument gauges are hard to see in the daylight with sunglasses on. Even with the brightness wheel at its highest setting I often have to raise my sunglasses to see the gauges. They set far back into the dash and I think the brightness should be able to go brigther to solve this problem for me.

Try polarized glasses (they will take the glare off). I can see mine clear as a bell.

I'll try that...however I don't see any glare, its just too dark. Thanks!

Better quality sunglasses will make a huge difference. Good sunglasses don't have to be dark.. just have to filter out the types of light that interfere with clear vision. Cheap sunglasses are just tinted plastic that do nothing for glare and contrast.

No problems seeing my gauges - top up or down or hazy or bright sunlight. Could be your sunglasses as suggested

Well its sounds like you drive with your lights on, Cut them off, I promise the gagues will brighter with then with the lights on and the brightness wheel all way up

What I would like to know is why did they make the gauges recessed so far in ,it's almost like the speedo is in a tunnel .

Aye, if you're driving with your lights on during the day the gauges will be more dim, only turn your lights on at night. And lose the walmart glasses if that is the case...may I suggest some Spys?
