4.0 L FORGED INTERNALS

RE: 4.0 L FORGED INTERNALS
lol just got ur email..
anyway..
there are many topics reguarding this.
I believe the problem with forged internals and the 4.0s are the rods?
either way there have been multiple people trying to do this and havent been succesful in doing so. they all have come to the conclusion they they would rather spend their money on a v8 engine.
(which sucks because you, me, and tons of other people would love to see the potential of these 4.0s, and I for one would buy a full kit to make my engine forged as soon as it came out and was proven to be well made. (along with a nice cam and heads and a turbo sounds orgasmic, but only one can dream!)

i thought supersixmotorsports had forged rods for our 6ers. not sure but worth a try.

As the earlier poster stated, several of the "4.0L pioneers" have reached/exceeded the potential of the built-block 4.0L, and have decided to look at the 4.6L and 5.4L motors. If you're going to go to the expense of a built-block 4.0L and push it, then the V8 swap is an attractive option.

Looks like he has what you need.
Not many choices out there for this stuff, obviously!

tfyzorg2,
Thanks, that's the kind of heads up we need. Reputable engine builders
can be hard to find, and sometimes word of mouth, reputations , shared
info prevent us from being burned. Thanks for that! I built Ford motors for
years and ran into some shady ones in my time. Gotta watch giving people
money for services these days. Always have a contract and save those receipts.
These Cologne motors are not popular with the aftermarket and speed shop people
and rightly so. Have been major problems with this design ie cracked and leaky heads
and other problems related to design. Hope Ford is around long enough to try the
new Ecoboost in the new Stang. This old boat anchor 4.0 has had its day long ago.
JMO anyway.
