im not sure if you heard of the 4.0 cheat code that can be done, i think its worth mentioning, just turn the key to the on position, dont start it, then when the beeps and warning lights turn off press slowly down on the gas untill you hit the floor, release it and start the car im not sure what the final desicion was by this forum on the validity of this free mod, but hey, its worth the try being free and all... Good luck on your quest for cheap mods.

P.S. some say that you must press the gas pedal to the floor multiple times, idk, but its also worth the try

+1 Shorty Antenna($20.00). OR ...just chop the stock antenna and touch it up with some glossy paint.
+1 Dealer sticker/decal removal is common.(free)
Side Stripe removal. (rubbing alcohol takes off any glue residue) (free)
Chrome valve stem caps. ...buy 2 sets....kids love to steal them...(5.00)
+3 Door-ding stripe removal, if you bought a used rental car.(free)
+1 GT takeoff muffler ($50.00 shipped...E-bay, self installed)
Duplicolor caliper paint. (35.00????? E-bay) self painted, a lot of work.
license plate brackets....($30.00???) American Muscle
4.0 emblems ($30.00 and higher for custom airbrushed items) American muscle
K&N drop in filter. (well worth the $ as a beginner performance mod)

http://www.expresspaint.com/productc....asp?message=1 ($35.00 shipped)

To paint some interior pieces if you like, pretty cheap......I'm painting my Cig lighter cover, E-break handle, stereo volume ****, clothes hangers, window switch surround pieces, mirror adjustment surround pieces,......just to give the interior some (windveil blue) color.

Each of these mods are under $50.00, or FREE....

....hope the suggestions help.

How about some dice for the rear-view mirror? I believe that adds 1-2 HP.
Does it make a difference how many dice you add? What if you put 5 or 6 of them there?

Careful you don't void your warranty!

It works Ive tried it. Better throttle response somewhat.

Does this do the same thing as disconnecting the negative battery cable? I had the battery disconnected for about 20 minutes while changing the fuel filter andI had much better throttle response then as well. Some of it could have had to do with the new filter.

Maybe black out the area behind your grill?

Stop driving around with all the crud in your trunk. The extra weight will slow you down, and making the car lighter doesn't cost you a thing (in fact, you'll get better mpg).
