Default Stupid question about a driveshaft...

I received my shaftmasters driveshaft today and I was wondering...

just to be 100% positive....how do I make sure I got the 3.5 I ordered and not the 4"? What do I measure? Diameter is way off both...

If the diameter of your driveshaft is 12" someone sent you one for a bus.

LOL no joke thats wayyyy to big! Maybe he meant circumference...but that would make his diameter closer to 4 than 3.5

LOL +1.

That would be a 300 lb driveshaft with a 12" diameter.

OP: Diameter = distance across the width of the driveshaft. From one side of the circle to the other side. Circumference = distance around the driveshaft.

Try again.

[Circumference] divided by [The Value of Pi] = [Diameter]

so...

11.2 divided by 3.14159 (rounded) = 3.5650

If your measurement is right, then I'd say that you rec'd the 3.5" diameter DS

Maybe weigh it and compare it to the shaftmaster specs?
