Default diy dual install

OK...as stated before, I installed a trailer hitch on the stang, and my flowmaster A/T wouldnt fit anymore. (it is still for sale, if interested) so i decided to install duals and turn tragedy into triumph.

ordered JBA mids and H pipe, along with Ford Racing GT mufflers (879.00 total for those interested)

Yesterday, i started the install. The hardest part was getting the car jacked up high enough to get the mid pipes over the back axel... finally figured that out. I wont be able to work on it until Wednesday afternoon, because of working late today, but here is my progress....

1. removed old muffler, old midpipe, and cut the driverside of the "Y".

2. Install trial fitment of passenger side

3. install muffler brackets for drivers side muffler.

4. hang mid pipe over drivers side rear.

does anyone know if i will have to weld the JBA mids where i connect to my cut near the cat converter?

No you don't have to weld but it would be a better idea than the clamps. The clamps will be just fine connecting the over axle pipes to the x-pipe.

second afternoon...about 6 hours total from start of job to now...

today i finished trial fitting all pipes, all cuts are made, old exhaust is gone... I cut the bumper on the drivers side with new tin snips... worked like a charm, very clean.

so all pipes are on, but not tightened, and mufflers arent straight and true yet... but i did fire her up for a minute. Not enough to make a opinion about how it sounds.... but have to work late again tomorrow... so i have to finish friday afternoon, car show on saturday...
