Default alternative to the aluminum steering wheel

Hello! I am a new user, and am considering the purchase of a 2005-2007 Mustang V6. One feature that I have found on most models is the aluminum trim on the steering wheel and automatic shifter.

I may be different than some people, but I absolutely can't stand this look. I think it looks like cheap painted plastic.

Apparently, some base models have a plain black steering wheel with a plain black shifter.

Can you purchase these plain black items, and replace the silver colored ones i don't want? Any ideas on websites that sell these exact items so I can search for prices?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's a Bullit steering wheel you can buy. It's all black. You can also buy aftermarket shifters.

the bullitt steering wheel is really nice. And its got thumb grips for the best possible steering wheel grip. I am curious to see some nice aftermarket shift ***** though. I have yet to see one that i really like

I like the Saleen shift **** and the white ball shifters. Although, I plan on going with the Hurst short throw shifter.

The aluminum trim on the steering wheel can be removed.

if the aluminum trim is removed, does something else go in its place, or is the plain black section underneath?

any idea on replacing the aluminum auto shifter and bezel with the plain black one?

Nothing else goes in its place.
The steering wheel is the same without the aluminum trim
as it is with the aluminum trim applied. Just one has trim and one dont.
They sell the aluminum trim pieces to put on non IUP stangs.
Them that dont have the IUP are adding them and those with
the IUP are wanting to remove them. Go figure.

I bought the base V6. Mine came without the trim and I like it that way.
