imo the best way to build one would be to flatten out the pipe (make it an oval) to add the much needed ground clearance...someone had a great custom-built system...but i haven't been on the site in a long time...

Member on this site and yes the side exhausts biggest problem is that of ground clearance on any model of stang. Roush gave up and cervinis took over .....don't lower the car and if you do just a small drop. here is a pic of mine and all the bends are mandrel bent. I like the straight thru design and they are loud and deep at WOT. I have a couple of sound files but they are all with a camera's crap mic....

side view

partially underneath

sound file before s/c- bro in background
turn up the volume and hope you have a subwoofer

after S/C!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry love the whine but the exhaust is much louder now... (cant hear the whine-unless windows are up)

Yea that sounds like a 6Er, It dont sound bad, I wouldnt mind having them on my car, and supposedly that they sound really good with headers. But I have learned that sound clips dont account to much after making my own. You need a really good cam. to make good ones
