Default Replacing AC *****

I see that there are 2 ways to remove the AC *****.
1) Use pliers and pull.
2) Remove AC panel.

Has anyone used these methods?

05-06 ***** pull off. 07 and on don't. That's why they sell different ones for those sets of years.

Ok, so I went and tried using my hands to pull a **** off.
No luck.
Then I got the pliers.
Had to pull pretty hard. After getting it off I saw that there are
three tabs that were broken on the ****.
Looks like they are wrapped around the inside of the control.

Ugh sorry to hear it. It's b/c you have an 07, they don't just pop off. What ones did you buy btw? B/c most are covers of 07 and on.

Also be aware that the OEM did not design the climate control on 07+ models to be field-serviced.
