Which to buy first? CAI or Tuner?
Which should I buy first? I cant afford both ATM.
Should I get the CAI? (IF SO what Brand, etc. & how much HP will it get me? Will it reduce MPG or help MPG?)
Or should I get the Tuner? (Same as above.. brand, hp, mpg, etc.)

....but it is more of an improvement if u get the tuner alone first than the other way around. the SCT XCAL 3 is the most popular tuner as well as it is affordable. the tuner can increase hp by about 15 i believe unless u get a really good tune. with both of them together(tuner and cai), u will get about 25 hp increase and a small mpg increase.
So overall, I VOTE TUNER!
and if u get the tuner, if u have an auto, go with a tune from Doug at Bamachips.com. he currently has the best tune for autos.

Earlier this year, I had gotten the airaid CAI, because I was in the same boat as you as far as not being able to afford both. It's one of the few that doesn't require a tune, so you're probably looking at maybe 7 hp. That may be a little generous though. I just got my X3 from Doug, and it woke her up big time! So I would say wait until you can afford both. You actually may get more HP than going the route I went...but hey, I'm a pretty impatient guy LOL.

highly recommended to save and get both together (C&L, DeMolet, VMP, Steeda....IMO)...... but its easier said than done when you really want something right away. so that being said, if you really want get one or the other right now, definitely get the custom tuner first. usually tuner shops will upgrade your custom tune at no charge to which ever CAI you decide to go with down the road. good luck
