Default K&N Drop In Filter?

Anybody use these? If so did you notice any difference? And where did you buy yours/how much did it run you? And yes I know about the CAI and Tuner and how it is much better haha. But I'll be going with an XCharger down the line and would rather save the $ for now. Thanks!

You won't notice any difference. But with proper care it can last a long, long time and will save money and help keep used ones out of our landfills.

I have one, and while I can't speak to any increase in horsepower, it did improve the sound of the engine and exhaust. The exhaust note sounds fuller. I'm running dual GT takeoffs, btw.

I had one too and the only change I noticed is the sound was louder and smoother (but only by a little). Save time and money and get the 1 million plus air filter..... I use K&N filters on all cars I own. JMO

I've had them on two of my vehicles. If I were you I'd save the money and buy a couple of CDs for your stereo. That would do a better job of improving the sound of your car and add just as much performance.

+1 It does improve sound and run a little bit smoother but, no significant gains.... You do get a cool K&N sticker to throw on wherever you want though

I believe we are talking about a replacement air filter that looks like a stock filter but with a higher level of flow through. It fits in the stock air box.

A CAI is an oversized air intake tube with a large air filter (most often cone shaped) that draws in cooler air from an isolated corner of the engine compartment.

I have one, but like the others said haven't really noticed much difference. I mainly bought it for its supposed lifetime use.
