Default Problems at the pump!

Sometimes when I go to put gas in my car I have a heck of a time doing it (it takes me about 15 minutes to get a full tank of gas in it). The reason is because when I pull the handle on the pump it shuts right off (it senses that my tank is full). No matter how slowly/quick I pull the handle to put gas in it always shuts off. It does this about 50% of the time I'm at the pump. It's a headache. I took it to my dealer and he basically said "there's nothing wrong, just pump it slower." I know there is something wrong because it takes me 15+ minutes to get gas in my tank, and to be honest its embarrassing because it's constantly sensing that my tank is full so it makes that noise and I have to keep doing it a couple hundred times to get my tank full...

I know the 05-06 models had a recall on the gas tanks, but the 07 doesn't have any recalls for this. What is the problem?!?! I need to get it fixed especially since my warranty is up. I would like some knowledge about what my problem is here so I can take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it.

Next time it does this at the pump I'll try to take a video of it with my cell phone.

Oh and my car is a 07 Stang

Hmmm not sure its the car man. Sometimes sensors can be tripped by the way you are holding it. If your holding it and kind of like pulling upward so that the nozel is more towards the ground then you could be tripping it. Try putting it in the tank and making the nozzle *** parallel to the ground as possible (it obviously wont be parallel but im saying this to help you see what direction to hold it). It probably isnt it by the way you said you've tried it so much but its worth a shot. good luck.

Yea alot of people have a problem with that here, I heard if you turn the nozzle upside down it works.

Yes, turning it sideways has always helped to fix the issue with me.

Wasn't there a recall about this? I remember this was an issue with the 05-06 models..
