Had the same exact problem dude. I took it to the dealer and since my car was under warranty they installed a new fuel line and gas tank free of charge, only had to wait 2 days for the parts and labor. Now I dont have any problems at the pump, so I would suggest that route to everyone.

The problem with me is mine is a 2007 so it's not under Recall....

What should I tell the dealer? Is there anyway they can fix it (under my warranty so it wont cost anything)??

It's really annoying!

I heard there was a TSB or something of the like out on it. Mine did it, till my DD plowed my car into a curb, and i had 9k in repairs (new tank being one of em) . . . . when my designated driver wrecked it... all i could say to him in a drunkenese slur was "i coulda done that ****er"

Mine did this one time. But I had the car running. I turned it off and it pumped fine after that! I just figured ford did something so you can't pump gas with it running. I know your not suppost to do this but my truck is a diesel and I never shut it off at the pump and just forgot what I was doing. I guess this is not the case though with your problem.

I have that problem with certain gas stations, so I hold the pump handle horizontal to the ground and pump slow.

I seem to have the problem randomly as well in my 07 pony pkg. It's often when I'm between a quarter and a half of tank and am refueling. But often it doesn't happen at all.

I also have that problem from time to time. I think it may have to do with the gas pump itself. What I do is pull the handle slightly but not all the way in. I find that that does work.

Maybe the vent tube has dropped ou of place. on my sons truck I had to remove the tank and replace it, when I put it back together I didn't get the vent tube in the filler neck right and he couldn't fil it right. It dropped down in the fill hose. When I put it back in the right place he had no more problems.
