Default Battery Light

just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem or know what it could be. When i go to work and leave the car outside and i come back out it starts just fine but then the battery light turns on for a while then eventually shuts off, this just recently started once it started getting cold, although it doesn't do it when i go out to my car in the morning

clean the terminals/ connections

maybe have the alternator/battery tested (autozone does it for free)

Ditto on the advice. Batteries tend to fail more often in cold weather than warm.

Avoid the AutoZone testing route.
Get a good DigitalVoltMeter and
observe the voltage when the battery
light comes on. Engine running should be
13.8 or higher when cold. Anything less and
the alternator is on its way out.

well turns out got it checked at autozone and the alternator was running high, so they think that with it being cold and heat and radio and lights on that it was just running high then when it warmed up it dropped back down
