Dang...searching is not my thing...took me 20 minutes to find this thread.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...t-on-a-v6.html

You are looking at solid GT times with the Zex kit. 13.8's are easily attainable...and for under a grand complete...nothing else will come close.

Good luck!

What turbo kit you running?

And +1 to nitrous, ls1 f-body guys use it all the time and run 11's with just a 100shot and drag radials.

Are you talking rwhp or at the crank? I have about 330hp at the crank at 5psi. S/C 1800 + install 700=$2500

When I ran nitrous only on the 4.0, it was hitting mid 13's on streets with the 100 shot. It dyno'd at 278rwhp and 362rwtq. Here is the setup I had:

where did you get a supercharger for only 1800?

and how are you making roughly 270-280rwhp with only 5psi with a supercharger? some people barely hit that with 7-9psi

i was reading this post and figured i should throw in my two cents since i have a 75 shot zex kit on my sixer. I only run in on the track but i must say, i love it. I installed it myself (took alot of time as i made sure it was 100% corrct as it was my first n20 install) and its great. I have run both the 75 Hp jets and the 100 Hp jets and decided to stick with the 75 hp. The 75 hp jets gave me 1.1 seconds off my 1/4 mile time and once i got the tune for it it was even more. With the tune + the 75 shot i attained 1.4 seconds beter than before the nitrous. I'm currently running 13.9's consistantly when on the spray which i must say i am very proud of.

For those looking into the kit, i also have the zex window switch (have mine programmed to spray between 3200 rpm - 5800) a bottle heater, dual purge, and a pressure gauge. With everything i spent about $1150 and installed myself to save some more money.

Again, you can read my mods in my sig and that gave me a 13.9 1/4 mile which like i said before suprises me as i dont even have gears or anything done to the rear end. (soon i hope)

Note, the reason i shy'd away from running the 100 shot (or 125,175 that also came with the kit) is because you need colder spark plus along with some other things to run it. Also, you should get a tune for you nitrous also as it is suggested to delay timing 2 degress. Although zex claims not NECCESSARY for the 75 shot. But just to be on the safe side...

Got it from superchargers4less. I think it was on sale, can't remember. 269rwhp with 281rwtq. That's what the dyno sheet says along with 5psi.

1800 would be damn near half off list. either a hell of a sale, or somin else (and i assume non intercooled)

regardless there are no systems out there for that cheap now, so giving that as an example for pricing isnt accurate.
