Default Just bought a new 08, need some suggestions

Hey just bought a new 2008 Mustang 4.0
Was thinking about some upgrades for it but I an a little tight on the $
What do you guys think is the best bang for your buck in terms of looks as well as style and performance.
I'm looking at:

Duel exhaust system
Computer Tuner
Cold Air Intake
GT style front grill

If you guys have any thoughts or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
-Bryan

Congratulations. I'd start off with a CAI/tune from either BamaChips or Brenspeed. You'll love it. After that, go for the show items.

Ya that sounds like a good plan. I was looking on one of the sponsors web sites (American Muscle) and they seem to have a good price on a combo kit that includes both the CAI and tuner.

I'd either go with a JLT or a C&L those seem to be the two most popular intakes.. i believe american muscle has the JLT and the Steeda combo kits for the v6? American muscle also gives you tunes for life which is really tight as you upgrade your pony! good luck with your choice!

For $500...you can get you a tune, tuner, intake and a GT takeoff.

Check out:

Good results and a solid company.

I personally run a Bama tune on a Diablo, but would go with the VMP kit in a heartbeat. It is a solid deal for the money for sure.

Thanks for the input guys.
One question, what are the differences from the Brenspeed vs the Bama tuners? Anything major, or do they both have the same features and flexibility?

b_silva2000 - I have the VMP package (CAI, Tune, GT Exhaust) and it ROCKS in terms of performance, exhaust sound, and value. However, if you want to open your hood and see something beautiful, get the C&L CAI.. VMP sells it as an upgrade for a slightly higher price. Their cheaper CAI just re-uses the ugly stock rubber intake tube.

You will replace the stock muffler with one of the two GT mufflers VMP will supply, then when you eventually go to dual exhaust you'll only need to get an "X" pipe and another mid-pipe and simply have the other GT muffler mounted... solid plan!

Oh, as for tuners.. VMP uses the SCT Xcalibrator, whereas some other shops use Diablosport, but everyone uses one of those two!

I would upgrade the 31.5mm V6 front/no rear sways to
the bigger 34mm/20mm GT take-off F/R sway bars, first.
Then a tune/CAI.
Added power is no good if you cant get it to the
pavement or control the stang at speeds.
