TO the guys that had LSD and gears done where did you had it installed?? I asked at the local Ford Dealer (In Columbia, MD) and they said they don't do that, and one repair shop the guy was saying "I guess we can do that"..... seems no one knows whats going on....

Do NOT have the Ford dealer install your gears. They may farm out the work to another shop anyway, and then charge you their cost plus add margin. Ask around for a recommended shop. Local speed part shops know who is good and who isn't.

Excessive Motorsports in Manassas, VA isn't too far away from you. I haven't used them myself, but they have a great reputation.

my ford dealship quoted me 750 bucks IN LABOR ALONE and they even said they would not be the ones to do it.

local speed shop did it for 225 + parts.

By all means, go to someone who is USED TO doing gear swaps on a regular basis. A speed shop may be your best bet; if none are in your area, start calling the nearest race tracks (any kind of race track) and asking who could help you. Sooner or later, you'll find someone who is 1) comfortable with that kind of work and 2) has a good reputation.
