Default My VMP intake and tune is sputtering and even stalling.

For some reason I have noticed occasionally on startup my engine sputters around 1000 rpm and sometimes drops to a point it shuts off. This isnt good. I havea 93 perf tune that I have been using.

I had that problem too....How many miles and does it occurs only on warm startups? I got rid of my VMP tunes and went with a dyno tune. My car hasnt sputtered since I switched over.

Call VMP and tell them. I'm sure he knows what to do and how to fix it, he'll just send you a new tune probably

On occasion I've had to reflash a tune to clear up idle issue similar to what you've described.

I have 11k miles on my car. The only reason I was concerned with the sputtering is because I had a bamatune and had no whatsoever sputter. Justin is in the process of helping me.

This may be a dumb question, but why did you leave the Bama tune for a VMP?

not a dumb question. someone was asking in a previous thread if he could load a C&L bama tune with their vmp intake. of course we informed him that he needs a specific tune for each intake due to the MAF housing size differences.

Isnt the VMP an off the shelf system...as in the air filter and MAF sensor...or is it a custom system that really only they know?

The reason I ask is that I have never heard of anyone jumping from a Bama tune...maybe switching to another type, but always going back to him for more.
