GT Grille for V6
Hey guys..
So i got my halo head lights for my v6 07 mustang.. and now i was the halo fog lights.. After searching near and far between this forum and other reasons. I cant seem to find clear answer to my questions. Maybe you can help?
1. I would like to get as close to the OEM GT grill including color and honey comb style as possible. I know the GT grilles dont fit our v6's so where can i get one that does? Oh.. and i forgot to mention. I havent had a problem to find such a grille but the problem is i can only find ones with the fog lights centered next to each other like the elanor. I want the fog lights in their normal positions like the gt stock. I dont need the fog lights to come with it, just the grill with the pony emblem in the center.
2. I plan to buy the halo fog lights to attach to my new grill. Since i have the pony fog lights already, will any additional wiring need to be done besides the halos them self. I guess let me ask it this way. If i got stock gt fog lights, would i need additonal wiring since i already have the pony pakcage fog lights?

Try abcexclusive.com. Go to grills section, scroll down till
you hit Part # GR-500 GT-V6P. It's a GT grill for the V6
complete with honeycomb back mesh and a place for the
"Chrome running pony" emblem like the GT's. $269.00 with
pony and a little cheaper without.
The other is Harmans Showlenses.com, he modifies a GT grill
to work in the V6 bumper, but he wants gold for it. $390,
too much.
Other than that, there is a place in the SE who offers conversion
GT grills on ebay. EBay motors, then Mustang Grills and look for
item #22035785912 from T2 Auction. Sells a good GT conversion
grill for $374.
Hope this helps

1. How bout this one half way down the page?

Or how bout this one? Its pricey.
Another grill like you are looking for halfway down the page.
2. The stock PP wiring will work with GT fogs.
Just remove the PP adapters on the OEM harness.

I made one from a V6 grill. I used Jeep Wrangler
o/e Hella fogs from a swap meet. Check pic attachment.
Only drawback, once aligned, fog plastic housings
were epoxied to the grill. But, a person could
adapt Ford GT fogs to a V6 grill with some skill.
PM me if you want to know more about how I did it.
Cost, $75.00 plus lots of labor on my part.

Now thats the way to mod.
Nice job. Adapting the GT fogs to a V6 grill
would be very difficult as the mounting
legs are of different heights.
PIAA makes a replacement fog light
for the GT and it mounts on a bottom
gimble. Maybe thats the way to go if
planning on modding the original V6 grill
to have GT like fogs with GT like spacing.
I will have to get my spare V6 grill out
of storage and unwrap it to get a good look
at modding it for GT fogs with GT spacing.
Hmmmmm.....
Thanks,
Old street rodders never die!! I thought about grafting
the mounting legs from a GT grill or just cutting and
reshaping or grafting the end pieces but way too much
work. I saw the PIAA mounting kit but after looking at
the V6 grill, I brought out my 6" hole saw and measured
from a GT grill and starting cutting access holes on both
sides. The labor intense part is moulding the honeycomb
edges to the housing, which by the way, fits snugly into
the grill. The light rims screw into the housing so bulb and
lense changes can be done. These lenses were glass but
later Jeep o/e ones are plastic. Housing and rim textured
identical to the grill. Plasikote satin black plastic paint
is a perfect match.
