Default Ford's Twin Turbo Engine in the Mus-.. Taurus?

So there has been a lot of speculation that the new Twin Turbo Eco-Line engine will be in the V6 mustang.. and some didn't even believe that Ford was making it.. Well, here it is:

They put it in the new Ford Taurus SHO. IMO that is monster HP and a fantastic torque monster. When do you think they will or will they put this in the newer V6 Mustangs?

Probably about 45 days before they file for Chapter 11.

not a huge fan of the styling, but if i was a family man I'd probably be all over this. And I'd be cranking up the boost

I'm curious how these ecoboost engines will respond to modifications and upped boost...

i think the car looks great. i'm impressed by the styling/design for this class of vehicle. kudos to ford's I.D. team. only beef i have is that the first recipient of this T/T engine should have been the mustang. pretty ironic.

I would be perfectly content if a slightly hotter version of this motor replaced the V8 in future GT's. It's going to be interesting to see how much power tuning will be able to unlock from this motor. I'm already expecting 400-450hp Taurus SHO's beating up on many unsuspecting cars.

Well, I guess the Taurus is going to be the test platform for the engine so they can fine tune it for the Mustang. Better to wait a little while more for a better tuned/less problematic engine.

Personally I'd be surprised to see this in a Mustang

Ford is smart by bringing back the SHO line, even if it is just the Taurus. There was a strong following for the SHO in all of the cars they did, and they were great.

I can see them putting this in a Mustang, the only way they wouldn't is if they have something else planned.
