Default Quick TB question

k, i know the majority of u guys say that the stock TB's flow fine, but i was curious if you guys would recommend the 70mm BBK TB for the V6... im 18 so i dont really have to many other financial obligations besides college and my girlfreind, so if i can get an additional 5 hp for 300 bucks, i honestly dont care lol. so what u guys say about the BBK 70mm? and how much hp would it give? btw i was also gunna get a BBK intake, and with my hood, it should all work together to give some extra hp, i know since im just a V6, it wont be to much gains but again, i dont care about money... lol...
Thanks!

Your hood wont give you gains, I can guarantee you that as I had it for over 6 months As far as a TB, it's good for about 5 hp probably, but I've heard of SO MANY people having problems with them sticking open and crap like that, I wouldn't mess with it bro, more headache than it's worth. If you really want to change up your TB, go for a GT500.

unfortunatley i cant get a GT500 TB, i need something for a v6... thanks for the inquirery though, i have been debating taking off my aftermarket parts and putting the stock on and trading in my V6 for a GT and pay the difference. what are some other brand TB's for a V6 besides BBK? Can any MF member who has a V6 and runs a BBK TB give me some info?

Sounds like you have mind set on a TB. "Too Bad" is what TB really stands for unless you're FI or heavily modded internally. I doubt it'll do anything for you. Put that $$ towards some other mods that'll either gain you or free up some HP (CAI & tune combo, UDP's, delete plates, aluminum DS...)

well, il debate it, why ask questions if im not gunna take ur advice? chances are i wont get a new TB... i was already plannin on an aluminum DS, what is the best V6 CAI? BBK shows the best Dyno testing, but... i know those could be tampered with, so what Cold air intake u guys think i should get? i could also just put that extra TB money towards my VW Bus to... but i love my mustang much more... we'l see, but i think ill forget about the TB

I'd contact Bama or Brenspeed and speak with their Tech support. I suspect that the ones most people have on their V8's would give decent results on a V6 but Tech support may have some recommendations. Bama, Brenspeed, VMP all write very good tunes and will be able to make recommendations. Most of the CAI's that require a tune provide equivalent performance gains. But since it's the tune that provides the bigger bang-for-the-buck, I wouldn't sweat which CAI.

You wont have any issues with stock fuel injectors with a n/a setup. There's not a lot more fuel that is reasonably added with a good cai.
The SCT is more popular than the Predator when it comes to tuner devices, but it depends on where you get the tune from.

Smart to not get TB; spend the money elsewhere. The driveshaft is not a bad choice bot wont give you more power, just a little nicer feel and no vibration.
