Quick TB question

Since you have all eye candy to date, you really need to stick witht he proven mods in the order of best bang for the buck.
If you have about $2 burning a hole in your pocket...knock it all out at once and you will feel like someone swapped your car for a GT.
CAI with custom tune. I HIGHLY recommend Bama (either SCT or Predator) and the CAI brand does not really matter a bunch...it is his tune that really makes the difference. Go with the 93 Race Tune.
Duals if you dont have them. Go FRPP or roll your own.
Gears. Go 3.73 or 4.10.
AL driveshaft.
All that will run your $2K +/- a few bucks and you will have a car that FEELS 100hp more powerful, regardless if it only dynos with 20 more hp.
Good luck!

What Illin said.
Here's a good CAI tuner setup.
http://www.bamachips.com/store/index...f4099fc198a938
You get 3 tunes with it, so get the high octane Race and Torque tunes, and a 87 Perf tune in case you get a tank of bad gas.

If you like being stranded and working on the aftermarket TB
along with the added 5 HP, go right ahead and purchase an
aftermarket TB.
Just be forewarned....
If you do, keep the OEM TB and tools to swap it out in your trunk.
when the DTC are being set and the stang wont a go-go no mo.

Remember suppy & demand
I will say again, throttle bodies and spacers are not recommended on stock engines. I can only recommend TB for forced induction/nitrous equipped stangs. Only then will you get your money's worth. Go with a true dual exhaust system or buy a K&N FIPK on the v6's.
I have dynoed stangs from 89-04 GT and near stock cars do not benefit from throttle bodies. You will gain about 2 horsepower in higher rpms, but... you will lose low end torque always.
Cold air kits work well as rpms and air demand increases. Again you will lose a little torque at lower rpms. I have no seen any CAI gain torque under 2500rpms on modular v8s. A design flaw with many overhead cams engines vs. the old pushrod engines. You get the mid-range to topend rush of the DOHCs but lack the low end neck snapping torque of the OHV push rod V8s
Axlebacks: on 05-present stangs will gain a modest 2 horsepower for those that are rectangular designed mufflers. The straight through designs/stingers will gain almost 5 horsepower pass 5500rpms but lose torque all the way up to 5000rpms. But some sound very good. If you want that Big Block sound get the chambered mufflers like flowmasters, Gibson, and especially the MACs. If you want that Nascar high revving v8 roar go with the stinger style mufflers. On the new GTs I would recommend the Gibson, why? Just the right balance of tone and drone. Some do not like "drone" but I call it rumble. Perhaps some people should go back to there plastic over-rated nissans/hondas.
Underdrive pulleys: are over-rated as well but is the best & cheapest gain for the 4.6L for both horsepower and torque. I have not had an old 5.0 make 15 horsepower on a dyno to date but have seen solid 8 horsepower and matched torque in the midrange-topend. The pulleys really help from 3000rpms to redline as they reduce rotational drag and a light weight. But buy steeda, they have alot of experience, work with ford designs, and they are the most specific and tuned for the 4.6L.
Performace depends on a complete package in regards, temperature, fuel, cam timing, head flow, intake flow, exhaust, etc.
Hope this helps. I am not a salesmans but just my opinion.
