Ok I see that this is common but what i'm now wondering is will my dealership fix mine for free since its a 2005 or does it have to be under the dealership warrenty because mine I don't think is because I have 55k miles and it was from a small dealership not a ford dealership

TSB's are free I believe, its basically a recall on a product and then they fix what is wrong.

ok I went to the Ford dealership and they said I am not covered for the e brake anymore and I had said that it was stuck down and something was wrong with the brake line or whatever and they wanted me to leave the car for them to look and and wouldn't give me a price they just said they will fix it and then give me the bill and thats bs too me so I left and am going to bring it to a different dealership but does anyone know how much it cost to fix or if going to a firestone or other repair shop will be cheaper than ford???

I think you should try a Ford Dealership or call your local Ford Rep and let him know what is going on.
You clearly have a TSB and it should be covered.

Default Don't use your E-brake

Do you have issues with your E-brake, even if it is not in use?

Also, do you have to use your E-brake during the winter season? I haven't used mine all winter and no issues. :-)

I have to use mine because it is parked up a slight incline and I have manual transmission.

He should contact his local Ford Representative.

No I have only had the thing since 2/13 so like a little under 3 weeks and never used it because when i tried it wouldn't engage and it was hard as hell to pull and i didn't wanna break it and then I took it too ford 2 days ago and they said they wanted to keep it over night and that it wasn't covered no matter what it was and that I would have to pay for it so I just left after my free car wash lol but I was pissed that they wouldn't fix it for free so now im stuck on what to do because its not giving me any problems but I don't want it to effect anything else if its rubbing on anything or if its stuck on something and i'm just not hearing anything funny or feeling anything funny driving
