Please share your opinion on New CASTROL EDGE 5w-30 oil for the V6.

It only comes in 5w-30 and 10w-30.
Claims to be 8x better than Mobil 1 and last up to 15,000 miles with proper filter.

Anyone tried it yet? Cost: $8 per quart.

I am and have been a Mobil 1 fan for years and if this Castrol Edge is 8x better, it seems obvious that I should switch asap...right/wrong?

dino oil/motorcarft filter ftw, ive ran everything from the cheap stuff to amsoil in my car, and none of it made a differance other then in my bank account

From the latest info that I know of mobil one is still a better oil a group 4 olefin based synthetic oil . Castrol is a group 3 which is just a little better than conventional oil .It is not 8 times better . You really can't believe it just because it says so on the label ,maybe it's just one little item among many during a test .Of course if you want the very best then that would be Redline oil.
