Default Please read & make one step in bumper job easy

Forget the rivet gun for putting the front parking light brackets on your new GT bumper. And don't use round headed small bolts either with nuts. I used the small round headed bolts and I'm going to have to replace them because the seam where the new bumper fits up against the fender surface is separated by the thickness of the head on the bolt. I watched the how to video on New Take Off about replacing your V6 bumper with the GT. The guy doing the job used large sturdy plastic press pins (the christmas tree looking things), two per bracket, to mount the V6 brackets on the GT bumper. Works beautifully and very strong. A breeze compared to f**king with a rivet gun. Using the drill to drill out the old rivets is a big enough pain in the ***, not to mention maring the surfaces on your plastic light brackets. Be real careful when you drill out the old rivets. Please watch the New Take Off video first before you do this job, you won't be sorry. The other GT parts you have to replace are both front side splash panels in the wheel wells. You have to use the GTs to match up with the GT bumber cover. The other thing you'll need is the GT styrafoam insert (see my pic) to have the GT bumper cover lay right. A lot of guys have shaved the V6 and that works ok but to do it right get the GT one. The radiator cover on the V6 is the same as the GT, same part number. I put up a pic showing my finished efforts and it looks great on the V6, I used the Bullitt grill with my install. Wanted a clean look with no fogs or horse emblem. Good luck, this is a very doable install and should take a max of 2 to 3 hours if you get everything ahead of time. Jack

so. i had to take off my bumper for install of my projector headlights.. i found another reason why i got my car so cheap. Its missing isolators. and the brackets are missing screws. because only 1 screw sticks out of the bracket instead of three.
SOOOO.. i bought my new gt bumper today..
i also ended up spending another 130 on
-isolator inner gt
-isolator outter gt
-mounting bracket left
-mountin bracket right
-gt lower radiator deflector

i forgot to order the splash guards.. can i just use the v6 ones? or where did you get yours?
Also, how do the isolators mount onto the bar?
How do the brackets mount onto the car itself? do they even?

I used flat head bolts to mount my turn lamps and it worked perfectly.
