Default First Time Long Time

Hey Guys bought my stock 06 v6 auto Tungsten Grey Vert, with niiiiice black leather, a little over a year ago, love it. And i love this site! any question i have (which are alot, me not being a car guy at all), throw it in the search and BAM! quick answer, or I like to look at peoples mods and imagine what may be if i had the money. That Cervini side exhaust is mighty nice.

I do need some help now, a little over a month ago i began to hear a rubbing sound in what appeared to be the rear wheels. kind of like a low rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrr, mainly when i took my foot off the accelerator and cruise at about 20 to 40. Took it to the dealer, they checked it out, drove it, took the wheels off, he said it was "street noise", just the way the tire rolls over the street, 10k on the tires mind you. I just so happened that i was able to find a thread about a "drone" type noise. It sounds kinda what i have but i think they are talking about a dual exhaust problems created by resonator, i don't know, i'm not a car guy, I have stock v6 exhaust. I'm taking to another dealer to get it checked out, should i bring up the "drone" thread?

This is the drone thread:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-0l...ut-tuners.html

Another quick question that i know will have a ton of answers is what CAI goes better with a DiabloSport Predator. I bought the tune because i read a thread here where someone asked what is the single first performance mod they should make to a v6 auto. The consensus was a tune. Now im up for my 2nd and 3rd mods, i think consensus on the forum is CAI and dual exhaust, the duals I'm going with gt takeoffs.

Thanks for your help guys, Oh has any Tungsten Greyers caught any crap on the color of our cars? I'm an NYC firefighter (the biggest ball breakers on the planet), at work I'm constantly being asked why i bought a purple car. When i mention my grey car, they go, "oh you traded in ur purple mustang?". I go "damn it! the color is tungsten grey, Tungsten Greeeeeeeey!!!" Its hilarious, I kinda see what they mean at certain times a day how the sun hits it, i dont care I LUUUUUV MY PURPLE STANG!!!

Growls on a deaccel could be rear end issues...they all do that to a ceratin point. Is this your first rear wheel drive car? Bearing issues ted to be all the time or on lateral shifts...so prob not bearings. Just for grins, rotate your tires and see if it goes away.

As far as the CAI, get whatever one you like to look at. They are all very similar in performance. What matters is the custom tune tailored for THAT CAI. Get a name brand (any brand) and you will be happy. I personally run an S&B, but would take any of the other brands common to modders here with no issues. IMO, you would be best off to get a single GT takeoff now ($50ish) and get an inexpensive CAI (but quality and a custom Bama tune. When money allows, then go duals. The CAI and custom tune will make you think someone swapped motors on you.

There are some great tuners, but Doug at Bama Tunes gets my money for sure. The guy writes flat out amazing tunes. Absolutely 100% get a custom tune...and if you want the best, get it from Doug.

Good luck!

Hey Illin, this is my first rear wheel, before this I had a green 97 Neon. I did rotate and balance the tires, same sound, I definately have to have it looked at in a different place because the sound is really bothering me.
As for the bama custom tune, are you telling me my predator is no good? I have the predator installed now, I need to know what goes better with what I already have.
Oh and is the single GT takeoff just for looks or will it give some dort of better performance? Thanks for your help.
