Default High Pitch eeeeeeeeeee sound

I've got an 06 V6 and on certain days when I'm driving with the window open I can hear this high pitch eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound and it drives me nuts. At first i thought it might of been the brakes but I had them inspected by Ford and by me and that wasn't it. Does anyone know what it is?? It only happens every once in awhile...

And also my chair has been making this weird creeking sound too... It sounds like your sitting on a mouse when you get in the car!!

Open your hood and check to see if someone installed a supercharger in your car overnight; it might explain the whining you hear.

No, but seriously, I would say check your belts to make sure they're not loose, and check to make sure everything is tight on your intake housing.

If you have a stick, it might be the gears whining. idle your car with the window down and engage and disengage the clutch and see if there is a difference.

Barricade - do you have a CAI? My CAI will whistle sometimes and if I video tape from in front of the car it is picked up on the tape often.

Yeah I would think its either gear whine or belt noise

sounds like brakes. may need to get your calipers adjusted. do you hear it more right AFTER a car wash by chance?

Well the brakes are brand new and the belts are totally fine. I had it all inspected even at Ford in case I missed something but we still can't figure it out.

And no CAI... I will soon though haha

Is the air conditioning or heat on when you open the windows and this happens? Mine does the same thing if either of those two are on. Goes away if I turn them off.
