Default Brakes

Hey guys-

I have a 2007 mustang v6 with 18,500 miles and i was wondering when do i need to replace the front disc pads? what is general replacement guidelines?

IDK, but I have a little over 19k on mine. I had my mechanic put some of the red stop squeak stuff on all 4 of them and he said the pads were in great shape.

05 vert with 36K. It was time for brakes about 1K miles ago for me. Probably will install larger GT take-off rotors/bracket rather than turn the stockers.

It all depends on your driving style.
Its like asking when to replace your shoes.
Get down and dirty and in there to VISUALLY INSPECT the pads.
When the linings appear to be getting worn,
compare them to a set of new pads (you are going to
have to buy them eventually) and replace if worn.
Also its a good idea to check the rotor runout
at the same time....
