Default Bolt on Grills

I have a 06 v6 stock engine, Im putting in a cold air intake soon. I ran across an article about the 2010 shelby gt500. It said this 2010 edition has the cobra emblem on the passengers side of the grill because the cold air intake is on the drivers side so putting it on the opposite side will improve airflow over past models.
This made me think about my v6 because I have a bolt on upper grill that goes onto the original grill. I got it from calmustangs i think, i like how it looks its black chrome, you can see it on my little picture there. Its like putting a mesh cover on my grill. Is that something that can be restricting my performance? or is it a shelby thing?

you're fine, don't worry about it. You get plenty of air coming up underneath the car too

A Shelby thing? LOL What would that be?

Nah man, don't worry, you'll get plenty of air coming through...

I'd have to assume that shelby didn't want to put the badge in front of the intake because that part of the grill is probably more solid to mount the badge, i dunno. I think any reason other than that would just be paranoid. Then again i'm not an engineer so maybe i should just shut the fug up.

i plan on getting a chin spoiler too.

Probably is a Shelby thing, I.E. over inflated sense of importance.

Still shouldn't be an issue. I don't really think a chin spoiler would block air from coming in. Actually, a lot of V6 chin spoilers (the fang, B2, and the chin spoiler and air dam offered by 3D Carbon) don't actually lower the clearance on the car, they just look as if they do.
