Default Shaker 500 removal

Hey guys I'm going to be swapping out my shaker for a nicer one and have a few questions. The diagram says to remove "shift lever bezel" if equipped.

I'm assuming the "shift lever bezel" is the silver frame thing on the pic above. Am I right? How do you remove it? I thought maybe just popping it out with a flat head screw driver but I'm afraid to brake it. Also that little silver thing mid way on the right hand side, it looks like it pops off....what is it? Is it supposed to pop off?

Thanks for all your help guys.

you need to remove the whole plastic console. two screws are located under the armrest lid. when you pop up the entire console, the shifter bezel will pop up with it.

your best bet is to obtain some online installation instructions for any ipod adapter. you should be able to find some image diagrams. thats how i found them. it is basically a shaker removal. good luck.

Yep thats basiclly it, two screws towards the back of the armrest when it's flipped up. Than everything more or less just comes up when you pull up on the center console.

This is the guide I used

Sancho and I did the same isimple install ( :

Thanks guys! I didn't realize that once I took the screws off the bezel would pop off. The diagram I looked at said to take the bezel off first. Ya'll are the best
