Another Exhaust Thread
I've used the search and seem to find people on both sides of this. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a reverse Y-pipe to convert to duals? Other than it's not a "true dual" system? I'm looking into doing my own custom exhaust and came across this.
Is there any reason I shouldn't do it this way? I planned on going with the FRPP kit, but came up with an idea I wanna run with.

It might be advantageous to use a reverse Y pipe on the v6 because on the ones I've seen they have a 'kink' in the stock exhaust which is clearly designed to maintain high back pressure. The engine probably doesn't like it very much if you do true duals and they will reduce your low and torque and acceleration similar to how a motorcycle engine works with too little restriction on the low end.
