What is this?
Hello, I recently got an 07 mustang and I like it a lot so far. Today I got it back from the dealer after he fixed a few things that my mechanic pointed out. I drove it all the way home and that's when I noticed that there is an electrical plug that was dragging against the pavement. It was right under my front bumper. I got under my car to take a look and I really have no idea where it's supposed to go. The way it's attached it appears as if it was meant to drag along the front bumper, but it's pretty short and really has no where to go. It's honestly just like a regular plug that you might have for your microwave or vacuum cleaner.
I twisted it and attached it to itself since there was a clip on it but I'm still paranoid as to what is its purpose? Is it for the fog lamps or something like that or is it supposed to be connected to something. I'll probably take the car to a ford dealership to get the pony package grille installed (how much would that be by the way does anyone know), and I could ask them about it but I don't want to get charged for it.
Thanks for any input.

I see that you are from New England. Any chance the car has a block heater on it for those cold, cold winter mornings? I saw these on cars when I was working in Minnesota once. This is asuming that like you said, it looks like a standard receptacle plug. Post a picture.

Block heaters aren't all that common in New England, but there are some folks up here that do get them.

If it looks like a 120V plug it is probably a block heater.
Maybe the dealership had to use it and didnt wind it
back up. Check the window sticker for that option
or do an OASIS report on the VIN to see the options
shipped but not dealer installed on your stang.
All those are missing the fog lamp assemblies.
Those are not deals but parts finding money pit grills.
No wonder the OEM with the fogs and bulbs and wiring is upwards of $400

I totally understand but for that price I would check it out.
