I don't think free revving is worse for the engine at any given RPM. However, it is easy to accidently overrev while not in gear so it is risky.

With my 3.73's I learned I can sometimes chirp third, but it is hard. I gave up trying to do it because I missed a shift once and I swear it looked and sounded horrible. I think that's the danger with free revving is it is easy to overrev.

I think I am gonna try to set the neutral rev limiter lower to protect against missed shifts. Anybody know which rev limiter it is in the predator settings?

A rev limiter will do nothing to protect you against mechanical over revving when you miss a shift.

I have removed all rev limiters.

I should be no worse off right?
