Looking at buying a pro 5.0 sts for my 05 v6. Is there a difference between the gt a v6 shifters. I have not found anything saying its for a v6 so im curious if theres a difference or not?

The shifter for a GT will NOT fit. Your options are fairly limited when it comes to shifters for the V6. You can get either a Hurst or an MGW. There is also a partial replacement kit from Steeda but it's more of a rebuild kit for the stocker. I will be getting an MGW when I finally pull the trigger on this mod.

There's also the Saleen short throw kit as an option. You can keep your stock shifter that way.
