I have an xcal2. tunes are from bama for the C&L. Tried to load the tune in car and got error wrong ecm type Any help Please. thanks FIXED. Email from bama, even if the sct tuner was retuned to stock, you still have to use the liveload to unlock it. Then the tuner should say unused.

 

Did you buy the Xcal from Bama? Is it a used xcal from an 07 or later car?
The ECM changed in 07.

 

I got the xcal from a guy at work. it was from bama. but it is older than 07. I did send an email to bama also.

 

You might try posting your problem in the forum on the SCT website. They are usually quick to respond.

co-workers stang stratagy codes.

 

OK. The sct was returned to stock be for I got it. I gave bama my ecm code from the sticker on the ecm, and my stratagy code that I read from my car. The only thing I can think of is the dealer may have reflashed the ecm with out putting the NEW Sticker on the ecm. I had the oil done and the recall on the airbag sencer. Thanks for the heads ip on the sct web.
