Default very confused

so today i installed some HID headlights from retro solutions and all of a sudden, my keyless entry fob decides to work whenever the hell it feels like it.when i unlock the car it takes about 30 seconds to a minute b4 i can lock the car again. this isnt a big deal just really annoying. do u think that this has something to do with the hid lights draining the battery when i unlock the car (which turns the lighs on for those that dont know) i have a pair of 10" JL subs also connected to the battery, but whenever the car is off they automatically power down. fyi i have an 08 and still have the stock battery. thanks!

You can reprogram the entry system so the lights don't come on. It's described in the Owners Manual (that thing in the glove box made of paper and cardboard, I promise it won't burst into spontaneous combustion if exposed to light and the human eye). Perhaps that'll solve the problem you're having.

I wasn't really bustin' on ya'. I'm guilty of the same thing. But we all seem to ask questions when the answer is in the manual.

I hope it works for you. I liked the feature of the lights coming on at first, too, but it got old.

Well the two are not likely linked, as no one else has yet to make mention of it to date. That would be a little too odd to not hear of anything for the 3+ years we've had Mustangs with our kits installed.

To the Op did you say your headlights turn on?? My GT only turns on the fogs, not the headlights.

hmm that is really weird. although i tested my remote today at autozone and it worked fine. this is really weird. maybe ill get a stronger battery just because it couldnt hurt to have one with the subs and the strong lights. or maybe ill just stop the lights from turning on lol. btw todd im loving the lights!!! i can finally drive at night with my tint lol

and derf00 its only my headlights that turn on. maybe they did it different for v6's bc not every one has the pony package fog lights
