Default Anybody ever use this chip

Has anybody ever used this chip. I find the hp and mpg gains hard to believe. Also what does it take to install this and is there any possibility of the MIL lamp coming on or voiding my warranty.

Thanks
Tony

oh geez, this stuff again.

It's the old resistor in-line with the MAF trick. Doesn't net you anything than $70 lighter in the wallet + worse gas mileage and possible engine damage.

Pass, go with a reputable company CAI+Tuner.

Do your homework. Use the search feature. Chips are for eating. We "retune" our S197's. Even implying that you believe HP gain claims tells us you need to read, read and read some more.

Do a search on "CAI & tune". Also, go to the Brenspeed website and read up on their combos including the installation videos before you waste your money.

I figured this was a bunch of crap. Thanks for verifying it.

Welcome to the forum. I suggest you review the info in all of the "stickies" in each main and sub forum. There's a lot of great info including the TSB's (Technical Service Bulletins) here so you'll know that, if you have a problem, you may already be familiar with it and find it easier to locate a resolution. There are alos How-To's along with all the mods that work and those that don't. There are also quite a few folks from the forum in Florida and there are occasional get-togethers. That's always a great time to learn more and put faces to the threads.

Basically, the 2010 has the same engine and base electronics as the '05 thru '09 so most of what applies to those also apply to the '10. Enjoy!
