Question Question....

As many of you know....I now have two GT mufflers....now
I have stock gt mids ....no over axle tubes.

My question is,
Will i need both over axle tubes from a gt or just the driver side tube?
And if so....I need to do ZERO cutting and welding correct?
Should just bolt right up?
Minus the DS hangers of course.... I know i need those lol

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

Hi
for my 05 i bought a complete gt exhaust off ebay for like $75 shipped. the Pipe was all one piece from the cat to the muffler. Odd that the 2010 changed that much that there are a mid pipes and a over axle pipes.

Our stock exhaust setup is COMPLETELY different than that of a GT. You need an x or h pipe and two mids to complete the setup. I bought a whole kit for mine.

The V6 pipes are 2.25 inches while the GT exhaust is 2.5 inches, different tubing.

You say that you have GT mids, is that the crossover (H or X)? B/C you should just have a crossover, then tubing to go to the mufflers.
If the piping is the same size, as you said, then I would think that you would only need the drivers side. You may have to cut your v6 over-axle pipe a little shorted to account for the crossovers length. But the other side (being a take-off) should go right on.

Just my thoughts.

I just looked at NewTakeOff.com and found a picture of the exhaust. It is just an X, over-axle, then mufflers. http://www.newtakeoff.com/images/vie...d=8317&index=1

The pipes at the Cats are welded on aren't they? So this is not just a bolt on project. You have to take it to a shop to cut the Y pipe and put on the X pipe for you. So aside from needing the drivers side over axle pipe, you will need the X pipe or what are you going to hook it up to?
