X-charger and CDC shaker together
#12
Do we know what he had to modify to make it fit? (if anything) I assumed the X would raise the engine intake to high for the Shaker to properly fit. Did he have to cut into the air intake part of the shaker? Does the Shaker "shake" when the engine rev's?
I know its appearance only, but I love it!

It looked basically the same as a non S/C car with the shaker. If you got down you could see the Xcharger peeking out though. The shaker though is just an empty shell cut to fit around the blower. Because Paul had to cut it up to fit over the blower it is not functional, although it may cool the blower some at speed since air is coming right in on top of it. I also wondered though if on the street it might hold heat in.
Like Torch Vert said though, I like the Xcharger to be seen when the hood is up! But I do like the look of the shaker and wondered if it were possible to mount it so that when the hood is open the shaker stayed attached to the hood and the Xcharger was displayed.
In Paul's case, he already had the GT500 front end and the shaker when he got the Xcharger. So it was either hack it up to fit over top of the blower or get a new hood. I don't think it sits any higher than it did when he was N/A, the hood seemed to fit exactly the same.
