you'd be better off finding some GT rotors and locating then caliper mounting brackets also from a GT. You'll get bigger rotors for better brakes. The caliper is the same on both models of Mustang. So rotors and caliper mounts will be much less cost wise. Use that saved money to buy some good pads.

There's a gazillion companies offering drilled/slotted rotors.

+1
Get the GT caliper brackets and GT rotors FTW.
Drilled is not needed.
Never heard of iRotors.
Get some name brand like Brembo or SSB.

If you do get the GT rotors and brackets for the calipers, you have to have 17" wheels. They will not clear the stock 16" wheel for the 2007 V6.

Never mind, I just noticed in your sig that you have 20" wheels so you can go to the GT size no problem.

buy a GT take off set from newtakeoff or someone, should be around $125-$150 for the calipers, rotors and caliper mounts. The calipers on the GT and the V6 are the same part, but the caliper mounting bracket you'll need to fit the calipers on the bigger GT rotors. You could look for some GT rotors and then source the caliper mounts from Ford. The mounts are around $70 and rotors you can buy all over for $50 or less. But a whole kit is the easiest way. The rears are the same on both cars so no worries with those.

And when you get the entire kit, the secret to an easy swap is the simply take the brackets off and swap those and leave your calipers on. That way no brake fluid to deal with, no brake bleeding to worry about.

I am also ordering the kit from newtakeoff and it is really a steal condidering it comes with 2 new calipers 2 new pads 2new rotors and 2 gt brackets.
i hav a question about the brakelines tho. i looked at then and when they attack to the car on the driverside the flex lines connected to 3 way junction boxes.
ny question is: will gt braided brake lines work on the 6 if the fronts are gt takeoffs?

sorry op if this is a little bit off topic but im kinda in the same boat.

The GT caliper brackets are on a 6 month to a 1 year backorder right now.
Its forum classifieds only or newtakeoff...

my question is: will GT braided brake lines work on the
V6 if the fronts are GT takeoffs?

The caliper MOUNTING BRACKETS and slightly bigger front rotors
are different between the V6 and the GT front brake system, thats all.

The V6 and GT calipers are the same part # so the braided lines will work
on a V6 or a GT...
Unless its a GT500 with the Brembos...

I would highly recommend replacing the one time use, yeild to torque fasteners at the dealership. It is your life you have in your hands right now...
And a torque wrench and the proper locking adhesive is recommended.

I looked deeper into this brake line mystery and there is a reason that braided lines wont work with our v6 cars...

I know the only difference is the rotors and brackets.

There is also another difference in the connection from the flex line from the caliper to the car. On the driver side only (front and rear) the plex line connects to a 3-way block that doesnt unscrew the flex line, but it has to be there to send fluid to the other side, the caliper, and incoming pressure from the master cylinder.
