Default Best Tires for my 17x8 Rims

I just got my chrome bullitt 17x8 rims and now I need to decide on which tires to get. I need size 235/55/17. So far I can get my hands on Pirelli P-Zeros and Cooper Zeon AS. I would love to hear from you guys on which tires are the best for this size for all seasons except winter. Which of these two is better or is there another tire that is best and not mentioned. Let me know.
Thanks

Have you researched other tires or other tire sizes? You can go up to 255 width with those rims.

I recommend these.

My bro had these on his 02 GT and loved them.

The link didnt work, please try it again or just tell me which kind. Also what are the benefits of going with the 255? Would a widder tire slow you down or does it get better torque?

I am running P-Zeros and like them a lot. I read some reports about poor wet traction on Tirerack, but I haven't had a problem with that at all. We get terrible rain here in Atlanta and have even worse highway congestion, but these tires haven't shown a bit of hydroplaning and stay firmly planted. Dry cornering and handling is excellent, and the tires are pretty quiet too. Consumer Reports just did a tire report last month. The P-Zeros were one of the highest rated high performance tires.

Sorry, fixed the link, try again. its a UHP Summer tire but I'm just saying there are other good tires out there other than OEM.

Wider tires mean more traction/grip, something we need because we have a open differential.

No problem its basically my same question, it will help us both. I was looking at some reviews. I think these look pretty good for us, they have a lot of good stanger reviews. It says they will fit but im really not sure.

This may help you in your search if you are looking to get different width or diameter tires, this will compare stock dimensions to whatever size you enter.

I can't help with a tire pick though, I'm looking to replace my stock P-zero 17s too, It's a good tire and got me 50k+ but I want a little wider and still have all season...maybe and eagle GT or triple-tread.

Whatever you choose remember it's you who will have to live with it for the next 3 or so years. Everybody recommends the 255/40/17 as a good size to go with but this will decrease your diameter by 2.15" and will improve handling but will look smaller.
I think 255/50 is same height but not much to choose from.

Personally I would like an inch taller, but that's just me.
