Question Can you use a GT convertable rear sway bar on a coupe?

I bought a GT take of rear sway bar. I have a V6. After researching I found out the sway bar was from a GT convertable. Will this work even though I have a coupe?
Thanks
My car 09 V6.
Bought GT take off rear sway bar

It should work. I have a coupe Pony pkg and it has the rear sway already installed. Some say it is the same as the GT, other say it is slightly smaller diameter, but I have never heard that it is different in any other way.

The links are different lengths.
GT rear convertable rear sway bars work on non vert coupe S197s.
I dont think it worky the other way...
Supports on the vert that the coupe GT sway wont clear.
Only vert sway bars clear the vert supports.

What S197 was trying to say was... they should work on your coupe, but the non-vert sway bars won't work on a convertible.

this is my understanding also, a vert bar will work on either a coupe or a vert, but a GT bar will not work on a vert. The vert bar has accomodation to go around some chassis stiffening that the coupe doesn't have. But since it has the same parameters the vert bar will work on a coupe.

As for the pony pkg rear bar versus the GT I do remember the GT bar being stiffer and a larger diameter.

PP rear 18MM
GT rear 20mm
V6 PP front 31.5mm
GT front 34mm

Get poly bushings for that sway for the win.
Prothane.

Thanks for the help guys.. After doing some research I knew it was from a convertable b/c it had the white links not black.. I guess white is for convert and black for coupe. I ordered the Steeda hardware kit and poly bushings from Summit this past Friday. Should be here this week and I will see if it makes a difference.

That is not a correct assumption. There has to be some other difference because the links on my Pony pkg coupe are white, and they are original to the vehicle, not add ons.

The parts # on the ID tag will confirm Coupe or Vert better than link colors.
But all 05-09 verts I have seen have white links
and all 05-09 coupes I have seen have black links.
Never seen any different and I have been under a few hundred in the last few years?
