Default Performance Transmission

Hey, I'm trying to find a high performance manual transmission, clutch, and a friend said I should get a nascar clutch cable, but someone else told me some other things to do, was wondering if someone could point me to where I can get the performance transmission, I've been looking, but can't seem to locate a quality place, and suggestions on the clutch to get would be great as well, any other information is just bonus.

Thank you.

Somethin like that, I decided I'm going to do the 6 speed conversion. Its not much more then a performance 5 speed, and mounts up easily.

Do keep us posted. We like to have pictures too when you go to do the actual install.

Now you got me interested, I have thought about this myself. With the 6 speed, you could get one and put 410s in and still get great highway milage.

I would like to know how your are going to do this so let us know, trannys are not that hard but I wondering how your going to get around the speedo stuff

why dont you just get an adapter plate and mount the 6speed out of the shelbys? they are able to hold up to as much hp as you can throw at them with a v6 engine, tey already hold up to the blown 5.4 so youd be fine there

Wouldn't they require some modifications of the drivetrain or some other parts? The Tremec TR6060 6-Speed Transmission mounts up with little to no modifications.
