Default MMR CAI

Does any one have any experience with MMR's CAI for their v6. Looking to get one and just wondering if it is worth it or what.

Only as long as 1) it requires a tune and 2) you GET a tune.

I have the mmr cai. I got it with NO tune because it does not require a tune. I really could tell a difference without the tune, although to get the best results, you will want a tune. I still plan to in the near future! There are some other CAI's with higher flow tubes, so if you plan to do a tune immediately, you may want to look into some of those. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied and have had no problems, and have had it for quite a while.

If you get the MMR and then get a tune for it, it won't flow quite as well as a tune-required CAI and therefore you won't get as much RWHP out of the CAI & tune combo. Best bet is to wait until you can afford the combo.

the quality of the MMR is very good although its not the highest flowing option as was mentioned. MMR HQ is pretty close to my home so i've been to their shop in person and seen their products first hand. i would make it a point to also purchase a custom tuner from a tuning shop to get the most out of it.

i will say this... i've ran bama tunes on a "no-tune" CAI (AEM Brute Force with S&B filter) before my current setup which is the "must-tune" C&L CAI. although i did notice improvement with the C&L, it wasnt as significant as some may have you believe. as long as you have a good performance filter along with some great custom tunes such as Bama tunes, you will enjoy a very nice significant difference over stock for sure. i would still recommend the C&L since the price difference isnt much at all, unless you really love the looks of the MMR. good luck.
