Default Trunk Ajar

Well I went to open my trunk and heard a real long drawn out sound and when I try to close my trunk it shuts completely but it still says it's ajar. Any info on this topic

describe 'long drawn out sound'....

Check to see if your trunk light is on with the trunk closed....
If so, try readjusting the trunk switch....
Or manually depress it and see if the ajar light goes out...

Maybe the stop bumpers are out of alignment causing the trunk to not close properly. They may be adjustable like the ones under the hood. I would have to run outside to look at them to be certain.

Sounds like the release is misfiring like clicking over and over again for like 2 or 3 seconds

Make sure your FOB isn't sending out too many signals. Maybe a weak battery is making it act up.

Pull her apart and clean her.

But it's not just the FOB even upon pressing the trunk release from inside the car it does it

Take the battery out of the FOB and then try the trunk with the key. Open and close a few times and see what happens. That way you isolate the FOB as the issue.
