Question 4.0 Mods

Aight, maybe this is useless maybe not but I haven't been able to find any decent mods for the 4.0 in my '06. I eventually plan to pop a V8 in it (you'll hate me for it though, it'll be a chevy LS2) but since that's gonna be a while I want to try to get a little more out of my V6. Havent been able to find an exhaust system or really anything else for it, soooo.... any clue where to find anything???

You need to do a little more looking on your own, almost every mustang site has parts for the 4.0 V6. American Muscle specifically.

Aight sweet, I'm new to the whole Mustang game and the places I usually buy parts from dont have anything for the V6 models. How much is it possible to gain out of a 4.0?

you can gain a lot just depending on how much money you want to spend and the way you spend it. i would do dual exhaust chip intake for starters, then just ask around and see what else and what kinds. all that stuff is pretty cheap i think

If you are swapping motors then don't bother with FI....just do your basic Tune, CAI, Exhaust. maybe a shortthrow if you have a manual.

if you want decent gains I would look into an xcharger or procharger....maybe even a turbo setup....should be in the neighborhood of 340-400 whp with those

why waste the money if your serious about a swap? thats going to be a huge expense anyway. if your just looking for power. get a bottle, problem solved.

Did anyone mention gears? Go with at least 3.73 but no more than 4.10
