Default FRPP Engine

Hello all. Was browsing the frpp site earlier and came across this.
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=11752

Would this fit our cars? I'm a learning noob when it comes to engin work so forgive me if it's an ignorant question. It's around the same price as an x-charger so if it did fit it would be another option for us. It says fits mustangs but I wanted to check with the experts.

Thanks in advance!

$3500 + custom installation=twice that price.
Supercharge your sixxer and you can even get more hp than that 306.

ok thanks man. from what I've been reading tho it seems like supercharging the six gets us to about 290hp. honestly I've never driven a GT so I'm sure that would be more than enough

Plus that engine isn't complete (buy tons more parts), won't bolt up to your existing transmission (buy a new transmision), won't be emissions legal, the list goes on...

F/I will be cheaper by far when all is said and done.

That would require A LOT of modification. Definitely not worth the time and all the money for such a small gain.

Honestly, I think if anyone who is considering more power IE V8, Vortech, X-Charger etc. They should find someone locally who can take them for a drive. People are really hung up on the HP/TQ numbers. It wouldn't matter if my X-C put down 150 hp, it is crazy fun, and really punchy.

I forget sometimes how quick it is and snap my neck back when I punch it.

I understand completely man. Besides my dads Infiniti G37 my car is the fastest car I've ever driven. So I'm sure even 30 more hp would be good for me

Well... I thought 30 more hp when I stock... so I did a few mods.. ie CAI/Tune, exhaust... then I thought, I need a little more so I got a Supercharger, Alum driveshaft, suspension, and now I think just a little more to finish it off... so I am getting the Intercooler for the X-charger....

Throw in an appearance mod or so.. (bumpers, grill, rims/tires, shifter, gauges) and I am almost done...

Just have carpet, new leather seats, a few more suspension items, some custom stuff and maybe a new front end and some big brakes and I will be done.. maybe.. or close to it.

Does this make me a mod addict? I just wanted 30 more hp

Yeah I started with a V6...then though about getting a turbo setup...but when talks started going into getting a bored, stroked, sleeved, forged setup to handle the boost for the HP...I ended up with a GT.

After awhile talks started with going stroked and forged for the supercharger to be able to get it up to GT500/03-04 Cobra level...and after all the all the $ was added up it just wasn't very cost effective so I ended up with a GT500.

So now I have a GT500 with about $10K in it...saving up now for a new supercharger...and the eventual plan is for an aluminum block with as close to 1,000RWHP as I can get on pump gas...

DOES THIS MAKE ME A MOD ADDICT? I learned a long time ago you're never fully satisfied...eventually I'm just going to have to learn to live and start a new project though.
