Default CDC Shaker System Install?

Group,

Just scored one for my stang. How hard is the install? I will be a wreck cutting the hood!

You can do it! A lot of us have performed the surgery right in our own driveway! While nerve racking to start.... it is pretty straight forward for an install... take it slow and enjoy... I spent 2 days getting it done thanks to my spartans in march madness last year... I drove her around with just the hole and trim ring on her for the night haha

Not a bad install at all. Take your time. I installed mine a couple weeks ago. I know what you mean about cutting the hole in the hood... my butt puckered right before I took the jig saw to it but everything worked out in the end.
Here's a tip...
To measure the center of the hood between the washer nozzels take two pieces of 8.5" x 11" paper and lay them in between the two nozzels so that each end of the paper touch the nozzels and the center of the paper overlap. Tape the center of the papers together and then fold it in half. Lay it back down in between the washer nozzels and where the fold is in the paper is the center of your hood.

Just remember... measure twice, cut once.

I did this two weekends ago...

Good luck!

Cool

OK New question! Ever since I have order this I have been wondering what color I should make the scoop. With being all Vista Blue I am not totally sold on keeping it black. I had several ideas.
1. Keep black.
2. Paint a color, What color????
3. Strip off the black and try to polish the aluminum scoop to look like chrome?
4. Paint white stripes over the hood, roof trunk and leave black?

Opinions, Ideas? Did anybody ever see one of these polished? Can it be done?

Sam
