Default Stock GT500 suspension in our cars?

I found someone locally who is selling his 2008 stock suspension and rear axle from a GT500. Does the front and rear sway bars fit our sixers? are those the same as the ones in the GT's (same size)?

What about the rear axle? I'm guessing the GT500 has the same rear axle as the GT (8.8)? should be a bolt on for our sixers right?

Any help would be much apreciated. Thanks.

The rear end is the same - you will need to get a new flange so your driveshaft will bolt up, it is the cobra flange and runs about $25 for the part.

I'm not sure about the sway bars as far as size, but they should bolt up if you get all the parts including the bolts.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if I should get the rear axle, the guy says that he put ford racing 3.73 gears on it and that he was getting "little" gear whine between 75-85 mph. So, I don't know if I want to take that gamble and finding out the gear whine is way too much.......he is selling the rear axle at just $300 probably can get it down a little bit more..

$300 already sounds like a good price. I wish I could find one that cheap. I have the front and rear sway bars off a GT500. Haven't installed the front yet. I hear they are bigger than the GT ones though.

How does the GT500 rear sway bar handle on your V6?

Rear ends that have transplanted gears are ones to
stay away from unless you like gambling.

Everying should bolt right up
with the proper brackets and such.
Put polys in there as well...

It made a huge difference in the handling. My car didn't have one from the factory.

Sorry to thread jack guys.

My roommate just got a '06 V6 with the same color combo as mine. I thanked him for the compliment!

Anyways, I have a lot of my stock suspension just sitting in my garage, I'm wondering if it will bolt up to his ride? For that matter, would it be worth it? I don't know anything about the V6's suspension pkg. Do they run the same shocks/struts/springs, sway bars, LCAs, pan-hard as the GT?

All the parts would fit, but some won't be any different - LCA's for example are the same and I believe the panhard bar.

The shocks, struts, and springs would probably raise him a little because the front struts and springs especially are designed for the great weight of the V8.

I'm not sure about the rear shocks and springs - it should be easy to check the part numbers though.

The sway bars are bigger on the GT, and the base V6 doesn't have a front swaybar. The 2006 Pony package used the same front and rear sway bars as the GT, but later years used a smaller front sway bar than the GT. So it is an upgrade on a base V6 to swap the GT sway bars.

Is it off of a vert GT500? I think I remember reading somewhere that the vert sways were different. I think it was that vert sway bars would fit a coupe but not the other way around.
